About OmanCalc

A small, independent set of calculators built for life in Oman and the wider Gulf: finance, family, faith, and everyday administration that generic calculators may not cover correctly.

Why this exists

Most online calculators are built for the United States or Europe. They may assume a work week, weekend, tax system, or fee structure that does not apply in Oman. The arithmetic can be correct while the result is unsuitable for a local decision.

OmanCalc is the version where the rules are right the first time. Oman labour law for gratuity, Oman VAT for invoices, entered lender quotes for mortgages, and prayer times by city. The point is not to be the prettiest calculator on the internet - it is to be useful for an Oman-context decision.

How we calculate

Every statutory formula on OmanCalc maps to a public source such as a royal decree, ministry notice, published tariff, or established astronomical algorithm. Quote-based planners identify their inputs rather than inventing market limits. When a rule changes, we change the calculator.

Update policy

We review every calculator on a rolling schedule and immediately when a law, tariff, or fee schedule changes. Each page shows a Last reviewed date and the source link. If you find a stale figure, please tell us - see the contact section below.

Privacy

Calculations run on your device and no sign-up is required. Pages may load advertising and audience-measurement resources from Google and Cloudflare according to consent and browser settings, but calculator values are not sent to those services. The privacy policy explains local storage and external services in detail.

Disclaimer

OmanCalc is a reference tool, not advice. Tax, legal, financial, and religious decisions depend on facts specific to you that a calculator cannot see. For anything material - a tax filing, a contract, a settlement, an inheritance - confirm with a licensed Oman professional. We accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of these calculators.
