Oman Working Days
Count working days between any two dates - Fri-Sat weekend excluded by default, with public-holiday adjustment for the date range you choose.
How Oman working days are counted
From 28 June 2013, Oman moved its public-sector weekend from Thursday-Friday to Friday-Saturday by Sultani Decree, aligning with global capital markets. This calculator counts every Sunday through Thursday as a working day and excludes Friday and Saturday. Public holidays you specify are deducted on top.
Oman typically observes 12-14 paid public holidays a year. Several are tied to the Hijri calendar (Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Adha, Hijri New Year, Prophet's Birthday) and confirmed close to the date by moon sighting - so a static holiday list is unreliable. Enter the count for your specific window.
From 1 to 30 April 2026 there are 30 calendar days. The window contains 8 weekend days (4 Fridays + 4 Saturdays) and, for example, 2 public holidays (Eid Al Fitr). Working days = 30 − 8 − 2 = 20 days.
Quick formulas
Calendar days = inclusive count from start to end.
Weekend days = count of Fridays and Saturdays in the range.
Working days = calendar − weekend − public holidays.
